#qsmypictoday I stopped off at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park on my way home today to take a look at the Miró exhibition which is running for the rest of this year. This is the first major UK exhibition of Miró’s work which is rarely seen outside of Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca. I was first introduced to Miró on a combined Art and Business Studies school trip to Barcelona when I was 15, and I fell head over heels in love with his work along with that of Gaudi and the city in general. I’ve written previously of how enamoured I was with this beautiful, sophisticated city at http://www.serial-rambler.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/forca-barca.html and wandering between Miró’s works today had me reminiscing. This particular piece is Personnage Gothique created in 1976.
